SXSW Interactive Awards

The SXSW Interactive Awards uncovers the best new digital work, from websites to web applications and beyond, while celebrating those who are building tomorrow’s online trends. Founded in 1997, this competition was initially known as the SXSW Web Awards.

Today, the SXSW Interactive Festival features several different awards ceremonies over the course of event: SXSW Gaming Awards, SXSW Accelerator Awards and the SXSW Interactive Innovation Awards.


Gaming Awards honor the year’s best major studio games, as well as recognize the most innovative titles from the indie side of the fence.

Accelerator Awards honors the startups that made it through the Accelerator, a two-day pitch competition that happens during the event.

Interactive Innovation Awards honors the best and latest advancements in the digital industry.

The registration opens august 3, 2015.

The Dewey Winburne Community Service Awards honors 10 community do-gooders are recognize for their use of digital technology to help others and celebrate the spirit of community in Austin that we think is unique to SXSW. To find out how to be involved visit this page.
