Senior Front-End Developer

RED Interactive Agency is looking for a Senior Front-End Developer to join our team. At RED, this person is an amalgamation of skills. They breathe life into ideas, and push the boundaries of design with what’s technologically possible, leveraging solid skills to build large scale applications, products, and platforms. This person works collaboratively across a multi-disciplinary team; uniting Creative, UX, Strategy and Account.

Role and Responsibilities:

Engage in initial ideation and concepting, providing technology recommendations and highlighting challenges and potential solutions
• Architect and build large scale applications, products and platforms
• Stay informed on new platforms and development languages/methods to help push the boundaries of what is possible and communicate that knowledge to the team
• Work collaboratively with Strategy, Creative, UX and Account teams to define scope of work and partner throughout the project lifecycle
• Provide leadership and definition for long term projects

Requirements:

• 4+ years of JavaScript/HTML/CSS development experience
• Experience building reusable components and scalable architecture
• Working knowledge and proficiency with React.js
• Experience working with view and model abstractions
• Experience with git, preferably following the git flow model
• Proficiency with standard build tools and configuration
• Expert ability crafting flexible, responsive layouts
• Understanding of browser performance and rendering limitations
• Able to both own individual projects and to collaborate well with other developers, designers, and UX
• Understanding of development best practices, usability and semantics

Pluses:

• Experience with Ember.js and Sass
• Experience with grunt, yeoman, bower, NPM
• Experience with Python/Django
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes
