Senior Brand Strategist

Code and Theory is looking for a Senior Creative Strategist to be the day-to-day lead on strategic work streams across client accounts and new business efforts. The Senior Creative Strategist will be responsible for driving high quality, high performing, engaging and innovative work for clients, while also contributing to overall agency thought leadership. This position requires a strong collaborator who can work closely with cross-disciplinary teams.

This person should possess strong expertise across a spectrum of strategic planning areas including:

  • Insight development

  • Brand-led innovation

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be accountable for overall success or failure of creative strategy on a given project: this role is the lead on many of the projects they staff
  • Leading strategy for a given client engagement and present findings to client stakeholders
  • Structuring and leading creative brainstorms in order to ensure adherence to overall strategy; driving key decisions and communicate results to broader project team
  • Conducting targeted research into brand, competitive, or business whitespace through reviewing of secondary and primary sources
  • Leading development of materials required to support business development opportunities as required, including both written and creative deliverables

ESSENTIALS

  • Experience with B2B and B2C clients
  • Experience with CPG and/or Health related clients
  • Capability in most key areas of brand development, namely brand positioning, brand architecture, messaging, innovation, packaging, retail, portfolio analysis and research
  • Proven track record of leading successful brand engagements in the past – delivering strategic solutions and rolling up your sleeves to bring those solutions to life
  • Capability in qualitative and quantitative data analysis; past performance in uncovering insights as well as areas of opportunity for business growth
  • Should have an interest in expanding capabilities beyond traditional branding into campaign development and digital product development
  • Ability to interface with both day-to-day clients and senior business executives to drive strategic decisions around key project milestones
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Focused on promoting continual optimization and actively contributing to a culture of innovation, excellence, and accountability
  • Ability to create a fun, inspirational, and collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to foster a shared sense of ownership and success
