For the second time in a row, the design festival OFFF visited Austria for two days filled of talks, workshops and inspiration, inviting the greats of the creative branch to the stage this year.
Vienna once again became the hotspot of the international creative community. This year Joshua Davis, Valleé Duhamel, Lance Wyman, Marta Cerdà, Joëlle Snaith, the Yarza Twins, Post Panic and many more joined the festival.
The 2019 theme for the festival: Inflatable.
From illustration to typography, graphic design to motion design and film, everything was represented at the MuseumsQuartier in Vienna, with hundreds of creative minds joining forces in the same place.
“We want to create a space that serves creative people for exchange and inspiration. The OFFF Vienna sparks magic and enchants its visitors.” Alexander Stern and Julia Weithaler of the Viennese Design Studio WEST, who bring the international Design Festival as organizer to Vienna, said.
The diversity was not limited to the stage – apart from an experience area with exciting exhibitors from the design sector, the OFFF Vienna offered two days of creative exchange with speakers from more than eight nations and participants from all over the world.
Award-winning studio Artificial Rome, designer Joshua Davis, illustration studio Polarfux, audiovisual designer Eyup Kuş, film and TV production studio Spine Production were only some of those that amazed the audience with their presentations.
At the same time, those who participated in the festival had access to a set of workshops to learn new skills. BILDWERK, a viennese interdisciplinary studio, talked about how they deal with strategic and economic development, while four creative experts discussed small and medium-sized business can benefit from creatives from graphic design & digital media.
Over the last 19 years, OFFF has become one of the most important digital design festivals in the world. Since 2011, the OFFF on Tour has been touring the most relevant cities in the world.
International visitors travel from all over the world to attend a live OFFF event. The motto is: “Connect, grow and inspire people through interdisciplinary art and creativity in order to boost the knowledge exchange and collaboration.”
