The Northern Digital Awards: The best of the best in digital

With a gala dinner in Leeds, UK, the Northern Digital Awards recognized the very best in digital marketing campaigns and talent in the region, rewarding websites across a number of sectors to reflect the online world that public, private and third sector organisations now share.

The event was the perfect opportunity to network and celebrate the North’s achievements amongst peers, friends and colleagues in the digital industry.

The awards began with a complimentary drinks’ reception, followed by a three-course dinner and the announcement of the awards.

MountDigital was chosen as the social media agency of the year, while Journey Further received an award for the best search agency.

The Ready HIV Adherence App was chosen as the best one of the year, developed by MadeByPi, M&C Saatchi World Services & The International HIV and AIDS Alliance.

The awards also chose the best digital marketing campaigns of the year. In Entertainment/Sports, Mosquito & Basketball England was chosen for #TogetherWeAreBasketbALL.

Meanwhile, for the public sector the Republic of Media got the award for its campaign Keeping Young Men Safe on Scotland’s Country Roads.

The awards were judged by a panel of industry leaders and experts in a rigorous two stage process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists and a judging meeting where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide winners.

SEO consultant Dawn Anderson, E-Commerce Manager Tom Armenante and digital Consultant Liliana Ashton were part of the panel.
