“You are only as good as your team”
New York, August 26th, 2020

There’s no specific recipe for an agency to grow and expand but a great team is an element that is always there. This has been one of the drivers behind the success of Lounge Lizard, an agency established in 1998, based in New York City and also with offices in Long Island, Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles.
Lounge Lizard has delivered websites and mobile applications consistent with its clients’ existing corporate image without fail. The agency’s portfolio includes projects for many Fortune 500 companies, developing mobile apps, brand websites and marketing strategies.
Frank Falco is the Director of Operations at Lounge Lizard and in an interview with TIA he described the main features of the agency and the challenges brought in by the coronavirus pandemic. He also looked at past and future projects of the agency and at his own personal experiences.
New York is legend. The city is so many things to so many people.
Business was growing steadily pre-COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to refocus and adapt as an organization. Our workforce is now 100% remote, whereas prior to COVID-19 we were close to purchasing a building as we were running out of space in our main office.
Our clients have also adapted. With the down turn in retail foot traffic, our clients have moved more emphasis towards e-commerce. To our surprise our growth has continued at the same rate as our pre-COVID projections. As they say, to survive, you must adapt.
We meet weekly and review new business deals as well as reoccurring revenue from sources as diverse as Website Projects, Maintenance Retainers, Marketing Retainers, Hosting and existing site upgrades.
It is a mix of direct observation/interviews as well as data analysis.
Our team. Like any organization, you are only as good as your team. We have dynamic, talented and smart people on the team. They also make working at Lounge Lizard a pleasure.
We have 4 large e-commerce projects coming up, which is going to be exciting! 2 Shopify sites, 1 Magento based site and 1 WooCommerce based site. We truly are solutions providers!
My primary responsibilities include business development, technology and infrastructure improvements, as well as managing client relationships.
I also evaluate organizational and overall process efficiency. My main focus is finding ways to contribute to the growth of Lounge Lizard while ensuring daily operations run as smoothly and as efficiently as possible.
That I am on phone calls and in meetings all day long. Not true! I am on calls, in meetings AND answering emails all day.
I can name a few. Wow Media for its slick design and interactivity and Mott Corporation for the sheer number of products and detail contained on the site.
I am also a fan of the AspireStyle website, a great men’s fashion site build with Shopify. We launch 2-3 larger websites a month, so it is an ever-changing favorites list. Check back with me next week lol!
Yes, issues of hunger and oppression, both worldwide and domestically. It sounds cliché but, in this time, no one should go hungry or be made to feel oppressed.
You can only make a first impression once. And to never lose your integrity. My Dad.
I am a musician, singing and playing guitar in local bands. Some videos of which I am sure can be found on YouTube!
Thanks Frank!
