Top Facebook Digital Agencies 2021

Facebook has been slowly building up a big business providing customer services to businesses on its platform, with around two billion users. But Facebook has started to see a growing competition for other social media networks such as SnapChat and TikTok, forcing it to step up its game.

This is where digital agencies enter, from Beyond to One North, a wide array of agencies have gradually become a key ally for Facebook. They are hired by Facebook for their expertise and their skilled teams to develop new tools and solutions for businesses that rely on the social media network. This way, by involving digital agencies, Facebook can improve the services it offers and not lose sight of the competition.

Beyond

Beyond, a design and technology agency with offices in London, New York and San Francisco that builds products for the digital age, has worked on a large number of high-profile projects for Facebook over the last five years. This has resulted in a wide array of outputs produced across the different offices of the agency.

The most recent piece of work for Facebook saw the agency launch the Facebook company’s new corporate website at the end of 2019. This project was delivered during an intensely complex period for Facebook. Beyond provided strategic guidance to navigate this and ultimately designed and delivered an end result.

Previous projects for Facebook have included: delivering an immersive UX design and cohesive content strategy for Developer Circles; working with Facebook Blueprint strategists to heighten the educational engagement of small to medium sized businesses and helping Facebook to build an easy-to-navigate newsroom.

84.Paris

Facebook also reached out to 84.Paris, a creative agency that help brands to connect with new generations, as some luxury players remain skeptical about the effectiveness of Facebook and Instagram in keeping consumers are entertained, informed, inspired and begin their shopping journey.

In order to convince advertisers of the luxury side to the solutions offered by Facebook, the agency made a film based on the codes of luxury, structured around the different advertising formats offered. Facebook thus underlines the connection of these platforms to the real lives of their target audience.

Jam3

Facebook Communities is a feature that lets anyone start a group and build a community around a mutual interest. To help community leaders organize, Jam3, a design and experience agency from Canada, designed & developed a site for Facebook housing tips and videos made by successful group leaders.

To achieve the best results, the UX team at the agency became project managers, completely immersing themselves in the world of Facebook Communities. By becoming experts, they were able to challenge the client’s goals and offer better, more strategic solutions to the task at hand.

Jam3 was responsible for every aspect of this design system—which has since become the gold standard at Facebook. The development team built the entire ecosystem from the ground up, allowing for a scalable experience. Meanwhile, the design team crafted each page, and the strategy team helped redefine the way to work with Facebook.

Code and Theory

Facebook was looking for a better way of connecting with journalists—but knew that they were unlikely to trust the tech giant following the mass misinformation distributed on the platform during Brexit and the US 2016 elections. That’s why they started the Facebook Journalism Project to better connect with reporters.

Code and Theory, a digital-first creative agency, had the challenge of reaching journalists and improving connections with these audiences and rebuild trust between Facebook and the industry. The focus was on target audience segments whose publications couldn’t afford a dedicated Facebook account person.

The agency analyzed the target audience of local and independent publishers and found that newsrooms with fewer than 20 journalists on staff needed the most help in engaging with their audiences at a social scale, benchmarking competitors, investing in social platforms and reaching hard-to-reach readers.

Code and Theory partnered up with Facebook‘s Journalism Project team for over a year. They collaborated to architect an immersive central hub, with bold imagery, design a site that quickly and clearly communicates the mission of the Facebook Journalism Project and create a digital hub for journalists.

One North

Facebook needed a team that could plug in, scale up quickly and delivers outsized results in a short timeframe. The social media network partnered up with One North, a multi- and inter-disciplinary digital agency, which accelerated work across the Facebook Careers site and Facebook Life social channels.

One North developed adaptable ways to showcase the people and culture at Facebook. The agency created design systems to expand their visual identity across the Facebook Life channels, all using their existing processes and tools. They established a flexible suite of options to create a cohesive look and feel.

The agency also worked with Facebook after the social media network’s decision not to remove controversial posts by an elected official in connection with Black Lives Matter. Facebook needed help showcasing these employee voices to audiences outside of the company. One North navigated this employment brand challenge with strategic thinking to rapidly initiate a responsive campaign.
